Choose to block any of 75 categories of websites
We always block pornography, phishing sites (which attempt to gain personal information), and web proxies (which allow users to bypass web filters). You can also choose to block any of 72 other categories, including nudity, occult, and profanity.  See full list of categories you can choose to block.

Choose to block any of 44 Internet services
In addition to blocking websites by categories, you can block other Internet services, such as chat and file sharing.  See full list of Internet services you can choose to block.

Choose from 11 different reports
We have 11 pre-defined reports that you can choose to receive via email daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also choose to send them to others, such as your accountability partner or spouse.

Cloud-based profile management
All of your profile preferences are saved on our servers, which makes managing your account and protecting your family simple. If you have multiple computers, they can all use the same settings, and if you make a change, it will apply to all your computers. Additionally, if you have other family members using the filter and you need to allow or deny a specific site, or even disable Internet altogether, you can do it from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Filter up to 5 computers in your home
We support Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, as well as Mac OS 10.5 and up. You can use your filtering account on up to 5 computers in your home.

Create up to 7 different profiles
We recommend that each person who uses the Internet have their own Freedom Web Filter profile and password. This is a great way to provide different levels of access for family members and track what each individual does online. We allow you to create up to 7 profiles in your account.

Free Accountability Program
Our features make it easy to for you to work with accountability partners, but if you don’t already have one, you can contact us, and we will reset your password and manage your account for you at no additional charge. If you need any changes, you can simply contact our support department, and we will make them for you. For more details, see our Accountability Program.

Option to force Safe Search
While many search engines provide a “Safe Search” option, it can be easily disabled. We provide a means to force all searches to use the “Safe Search” option.

Quick override of denied page
You can set up a special password to be used to see a denied page without having to log into your profile manager to make changes.

Internet access time controls
You can set what times each profile can use the Internet, which helps manage the time children and teens spend online.
